Round Table to Become IFLA Section on Newspapers

The RTN has been elevated to an IFLA section. The formal change will take place after the IFLA Conference in Glasgow in August 2002.

As a result of this, the RTN wishes to recruit members of its new section. We therefore wish to request you to assist us reach as many members as possible. We would highly appreciate if you announce this news to all your members in your Library Association/Section/Round Table and also in your newsletter.

By Joining As Members You Will Participate In:

How Do You Become A Member.

a) Associations and Institutions which are current IFLA members

The highest officer should contact IFLA Headquarters to register the association/institution as a member of the section. If their free section allocation is already filled, payment of EUR 45 will be added to their invoice for 2003.

b) Personal and Student Affiliates who are current IFLA members

Contact IFLA Headquarters to register for the new section. If this registration is in addition to their free section allocation, a charge of EUR 45 will be added to the 2003 invoice.

Any member may replace one of their current sections registrations with the new section at no cost.

Anyone who is not currently a member of IFLA may submit an application form to join IFLA and the new section. Application forms are available on IFLANET at http://www.ifla.org/III/members/index.htm, or on request from IFLA Headquarters, Post box 95312, 2509 CH, The Hague, Netherlands, email ifla@ifla.org.
